Card Values

Joker - Gerrymandering - New Floor Space

  • Place an extra space anywhere on the floor

  • Anyone can use the gerrymandered space

  • Gerrymandered spaces are removed when the deck gets reshuffled

Ace - Supreme Court Justice - Make a Rule

  • Make up any rule, each with a one spot sanction penalty OR 5 second chug

  • Each new Ace creates a new rule, previous rules are voided

  • Ideas for Ace rules

    • Everyone must drink with their non-dominant hand

    • Everyone must name a state capital (or national park, famous battle, etc.) before they end their turn

    • Everyone gets to try a coin toss to a new square on their next turn

    • Crazy 8s: give a # card the queen’s power (or all even numbers?)

    • Can remove White House immunity

    • Institute a turn timer (60 seconds minimum?)

King - President - Veto Power

  • Veto any law made by the Supreme Court, or any succession/sanction move

  • Vetos can be used at any time-- doesn't need to be your turn

Queen - Vice President - Succession

  • Switch spots with anyone not in the White House

  • If you switch spots with someone at a swing state and they haven't finished the challenge, they are not allowed to grab their swing state beer when they leave.

Jack - Secretary of State - Sanctions

  • Place a sequential two-spot sanction on any player

  • In a bottleneck, if the second spot is occupied, they must go to the next available spot at the Secretary of State's discretion

10 - Speaker of the House - Blind Vote

  • All candidates cover their eyes and show thumbs up or thumbs down

  • The majority wins, losers drink, or everyone drinks on a tie

9 through 2 - “Ballots are Closed!”

  • Once all four suits of any card have been played, candidates will announce "Ballots are closed on #" and all candidates take a drink

Chance Card Idea (Optional):

  • You'll need: 6-12 Smirnoff Ice bottles (or penalty drinks)

  • Tape 4 slim sticky notes (or a strip of painter's tape) to the front of random non-power cards in the deck (2-9)

    • One chance card for each suit

  • Each candidate can only play one chance card per deck, and the card must be played immediately.

    • If a candidate draws a second chance card, it will be shuffled back into the deck and a new card will be drawn

  • Ideas for Chance Card Values

    • Immigration Crisis - take a shot of tequila (or get ICEd)

    • Cold War - iced by a Smirnoff Ice

      • Alternatively, could place a Smirnoff Ice at one of the swing states and the first candidate to reach it must accept the Cold War penalty

    • Super PAC - candidate receives an extra turn

    • “Smir” Campaign - ice another candidate with a Smirnoff Ice

    • ‘Noff With Their Heads! - every candidate gets iced with a Smirnoff Ice

      • If there aren't enough left for everyone, penalty beers may be substituted
