In response to the school shooting in Parkland, Florida and the ensuing proposed legislation to "harden" schools by arming teachers, protestors took to the streets all across the United States on March 24, 2018. This "March For Our Lives" protest was organized by student survivors of the Parkland shooting, who named their activist movement "Never Again." Washington D.C. boasted the largest turnout for the protest, with estimates ranging as high as 800,000 people in attendance.
